SPECIFIC LEARNING DISABILITY EVALUATIONS
Special education evaluations are intended to determine the presence of a learning disability. Pace Assessment Services, Inc uses a cross-battery approach to determine the individual student's strengths and weaknesses. All areas are assessed that are included in the Legal Framework in Texas for determining a disability.
INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY EVALUATIONS
An Intellectual Disability is defined by the Texas Legal Framework as sub-average general intellectual functioning that exists with deficits in at least two areas of adaptive behavior. Adaptive behavior refers to age-appropriate behaviors and skills that are needed for daily life, such as self-care behaviors and social interaction.
DYSLEXIA EVALUATIONS

Dyslexia assessment typically includes a brief measure of cognitive functioning, along with assessment in the areas of phonological awareness, phonological memory, short-term memory, rapid naming skills, basic reading skills, reading fluency, and written expression.
